Walking Together for Wellness
Walking to school is a great way to boost overall wellness. Studies show that students who walk to school are more alert and perform better in class. This event highlights the health benefits of walking, encouraging kids and parents to make walking part of their daily routine.
Safety First, Fun Always
With guidance from the Wildwood Police Department and The Villages Charter School, this walk will also focus on road safety. Officers will demonstrate the importance of crossing safely and following traffic signals, helping students develop good pedestrian habits. Walking in a group adds fun while teaching responsibility!
Building Community, One Step at a Time
National Walk to School Day is not only about health and safety, but also about embracing community. As families walk through the neighborhood together, they’ll have the chance to connect with neighbors and friends, making the walk an enjoyable experience for all!
