I’m Brian Sers with The Villages Commercial Construction and we’re here in downtown Middleton at the hotel.
So, we’re here at the topping out party for the hotel in [music] Middleton. That’s when we’ve reached the highest point of the structure. Uh they actually just set the the last [music] panel as of last week and uh that’s in place now. Uh so we were just doing a celebration and a thank you for all the employees and the contractors, subcontractors that are out here working hard every single day. So next, you can see behind me the structures all in place. Uh so we’re fully topped out now. [music] Uh so you’re going to start to see the exterior skin going on the building. That also signifies that interior work’s [music] going to be done. So now we’re going to get into the framing and the plumbing and the electrical and soon after that the finishes [music] and all the pretty stuff get to happen. We get to work with the architects and come up with a theme. Uh this one is the citrus industry. So Florida was really big on the citrus industry. So, we decided to [music] take that and make that the theme for the hotel. In the next couple months, we’ll get to see it come to life here and that’s really exciting. We are so excited to have a hotel here in Middleton. I think it will bring, you know, a great asset [music] to our residents along with our school and all the activities that we have the school and we hope that the hotel and the school can have a great relationship. Yeah, it’s exciting to see the drawings come to life and watch the building grow all the way out and now we get to go in and kind of finish the building. You really see the hotel come to life. This is a big milestone because, you know, we started uh back in July and it’s just dirt work and you kind of get the foundations going, but now [music] you can see the full height of the building and from that top floor, you can get a great view of the stadium and [music] the surrounding area and kind of see the height of the building as it impacts the area. I think for Middleton, this is going to be a really special piece for the downtown. You know, we’re right across the street from the school. When all these families [music] come and they’re here for a full weekend, they really need somewhere to stay. So, this hotel is going to be that place for them to stay. And it’s [music] super special. will be a great spot for the downtown. We’re just really excited for it and looking forward to everything getting finished up.
