Building Homes for Heroes is a heartfelt initiative dedicated to giving back to those who’ve given so much to our country. This organization has partnered with The Villages Charter School Construction Academy and volunteers to give a home to a very special Veteran family. Building Homes for Heroes is about creating a true home, filled with love, gratitude, and support from the community.
A Community of Love
One of the unique ways they do this is through “Notes of Love,” where friends, family, students and community members gather to write messages of appreciation and encouragement directly on the home’s walls and beams before the final finishing touches are added. These notes bring a personal, uplifting touch, creating a lasting legacy of love within the home. Veterans and their families walk through rooms lined with words of gratitude, knowing they are surrounded by a community that honors their service and sacrifices. For everyone involved, “Notes of Love” is an opportunity to show veterans how valued they are and to remind them that they’ll always be supported in the next chapter of their lives.
